The name says it all. This is an ultra flowery perfume by the relatively new brand of Philosophy. They specialize in creating fragrances and accessories for the feminine lady. This is one of their very latest perfumes and I believe that it is in the long line of future product lines that will try to link ladies to the flowers. This kind of overly floral tribute is not to everyone’s taste but for those who like the theme; this can be something of a godsend.

The Brand

The brand is not well known. This can be both a positive and negative thing. Some of the more powerful brand such as Givenchy gives each of their perfumes a certain aura that may even compensate for the individual weaknesses of the perfume. This type of cross pollination of brand reputation is the mainstay of their advertising. In this instance I like the fact that the perfume is confident enough to stand on its own merits without the explicit endorsement of a minor celebrity.

The Fragrance

The overall theme of the perfume is floral with a heavy hint of peony. Those who take an interest in flowers will also notice that there is an almost garden like fragrance to the whole package. I have to say that the flower thing has been done to death and it might cloud some of the potential customers’ views to notice that yet another flowery perfume has been put on the market. However the field of flowers still manages to retain its individuality.

The Packaging

The packaging is just some flowery feminine sort of thing. I find the myriad of flowers slightly off putting. We know that it is a flower based perfume and there is no need to literally rub our noses in it. The riot of colors looks like something unpleasant out of the eighties and the overall feeling is not one of inspiration but one of quiet confidence. If you are into that sort of thing then by all means go for the field of flowers. If you are looking for a fiery perfume, then you are in the wrong place.

General Customer Feedback

Many customers commented on the floral nature of the perfume and some thought that it might put them off buying the perfume in the first place. They seemed to think that the perfume was a generally trusted one although there was no great enthusiasm. I think that generally this is a good perfume that can make an impact in certain areas

I just landed on this perfume by chance and had never had a chance to see it or even wear it. However I know a friend who had a sample which she kindly gave me for purposes of this review. I have to say that for an innovation perfume, it was quite pleasant and I felt that it is something that I would quite happily buy for a loved one.

The Brand

This is not one of the highly branded products that we often hear about over and over again. There are no visible celebrity push sales. However I believe that the perfume speaks on its own terms and in due course it will become a major brand. I particularly like the simplicity with which it has been presented.

The Fragrance

The fragrance list can read like a confectionery store. It starts off with a strong presence of tangerine which leads to freesia and marigold. Those who have used the perfume on a regular basis also talk of white rose mixed with apricot and jasmine. This fruity top is then counterbalanced by the warmer flavors of sandalwood and vanilla. You are left with a perfume that is both fresh but also deep when you take time to really smell it.

The Packaging

The packaging is composed of clean golden lines that suggest understated luxury. I actually like the packaging better than the perfume which is somewhat of an anomaly. However I have to point out that the packing does fit in well with the extravagant scents described above so it is all good.

General Customer Feedback

Most customers who reviewed the product were ladies and they felt that the perfume was quite good. A certain apprehension was expressed about the fact that it was not a well known brand but in the end everyone felt that the perfume more than compensated for this obscurity. I would definitely buy that perfume for a friend over Christmas but I would not go out of my way to search for it. It is nothing more than an adequate addition to your collection. This is not about being pithy but providing an overview of this perfume.
